Sexual Health Services: STD/STI Testing You Can Trust

Many sexually transmitted infections (STIs) do not cause noticeable symptoms. Since some infections have no symptoms at all, or symptoms can be so mild that they’re easy to miss, it’s common for someone to have an STI and not know it. The only way to know for sure is through testing.

Knowing your STI status can help you make informed decisions about your health and next steps. Testing is a routine part of medical care and is confidential, simple, and focused on your well-being.

Can I have an STI if I don’t have any symptoms?

Yes. Many STIs don’t cause symptoms at all, or symptoms can be very mild. You can feel completely fine and still have an infection. Testing is the only way to know for sure.

How soon after sex should I get tested?

If you have symptoms, testing should be immediate. If there are no symptoms, accuracy of gonorrhea and chlamydia results is to test two weeks after the exposure. Some infections may take longer to turn positive.

Can an STI affect my pregnancy or reproductive health?

Some STIs can affect reproductive health or pregnancy if left untreated. The good news is that many are treatable, especially when caught early.

Is STI testing confidential?

Yes. STI testing is confidential and a routine part of medical care. Your privacy is protected, and results are shared only with you.

Appointments are recommended, but walk-ins are always welcome when the schedule allows. All services are free of charge. Call or schedule an appointment below to speak with a ZoeCare nurse. We’re here for you every step of the way.
